About the artists

Mike Garson

Universally respected for his impressive skills as a pianist, Mike Garson is an accomplished composer and educator. For many, Mike has been known for his 30-plus years of relationship with David Bowie. He made his mark on dozens of albums and traveled the world with him on tour, including both David’s first and final public performances in the United States. However, Mike’s purpose has always been to inspire and affect lives positively through his music.

Drew Tretick

Drew is a favorite with audiences for his expressive performances and warm stage presence. By invitation of Andrea Bocelli, Drew and Andrea performed for his charity foundation. Along with appearances on television and radio that include PBS, NPR, ABC, NBC, and ESPN, he has recorded and performed with Tony Bennett, Ivan Gancedo, Stevie Wonder, Chris Isaak, Glenn Campbell, Sandy Patti, Doc Severinsen, Mike Garson (legendary pianist for David Bowie) and the late John Denver.

Barry Bittman, MD

Dr. Bittman’s whole-person approach to wellness has been featured in numerous leading publications throughout the world, including USA Today, Business Week, Time, Prevention, Discover, O (Oprah Magazine), the New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Washington Post, Scientific American, Men’s Fitness, Health magazine, Spirituality & Health, New Age Journal, Self magazine, and others. Dr. Bittman’s primary research is in Psychoneuroimmunology, which is the study of the effect of the mind on health and resistance to disease. Several of his publications have advanced the field of recreational music-making. In addition, he serves as Chief Population Health Officer for the Inland Empire Foundation for Medical Care and the Foundation Accountable Care Network.

Music & Wellness Coalition

Stress and anxiety cause 90% of illnesses, and the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the situation. As a result, the need for Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition programs has rapidly increased. Our two evidence-based recreational music-making programs, HealthRHYTHMS and Clavinova Connection, are scientifically proven to reduce depression, anger, and anxiety, increase self-esteem, and reduce loneliness.

All proceeds from this fundraising event will be used to expand music and wellness programs that improve mental health and well-being for individuals of all ages.

Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit and tickets purchased for this event are tax deductible.
